Vigil of the Epiphany, Friday, January 5th

St. Anthony of Padua Mission, King George, 7 p.m., Mass followed by Blessing of Epiphany Holy Water (Remember to bring a container to take water home if you so desire.)
Blessing of Epiphany Water only (no Mass)
St. John the Baptist (in parish church), Front Royal, 4:30 p.m. Traditional sung Vespers and Blessing of Epiphany Holy Water, Bring your own water to be blessed. Blessed chalk will also be available.
Holy Trinity (@ Holy Trinity Church, not RMS), Gainesville, 5:00 p.m. Blessing of water and salt on the vigil of the Epiphany.
*Please note: the priest has to put salt in each container of water, so please do not bring small bottles with small openings. We recommend a container no smaller than 1.5 liters or so. Gallon jugs are also great and have about the smallest opening that works well for this. When you arrive at the church, place your container(s) of water and any salt you would like blessed on the tables around the foot of the altar and open the tops.

We will have a handout for you for how to do the traditional chalking of doors using the Epiphany holy water and blessed chalk. (replaces the regular 7:30 a.m. daily Mass)
