Holy Week 2024
Holy Week Masses in Arlington will be limited on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Worshippers will have to travel outside of the immediate area for traditional liturgies during the Triduum (see below for some options, including shuttles to St. Alphonsus on Good Friday).

Diocese of Arlington
Except as listed below, all normally scheduled weekday Traditional Masses are cancelled for Holy Week (subject to updates and corrections). No traditional Holy Thursday, Good Friday, or Easter Vigil services will be held.
Masses return to the usual schedule for Easter.

Current policy allows no weekday TLMs at any time, and specifically prohibits them on the Triduum and Easter Sunday (as well as Christmas and Pentecost).

Holy Thursday, Mass will be offered at 7:00 p.m. Procession to the Altar of Repose and Stripping of the Altars to follow Mass. Tenebrae, anticipated for Good Friday, to follow Stripping. Adoration until midnight in the Chapel. Confessions will be heard half an hour before Mass, as priests are available.

Good Friday, Stations of the Cross and sermon at noon. Mass of the Pre-Sanctified at 3:00 p.m. Burial of the Dead Christ and Veneration of the Relic of the True Cross to follow Mass. Tenebrae at 7:00 p.m., anticipated for Holy Saturday. Confessions will be heard between 10:00 a.m. and noon and also half an hour before the Liturgy, as priests are available.

Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil, Mass will be offered at 6:30 p.m.

Good Friday Shuttles to St. Alphonsus
The Arlington Latin Mass Society has booked shuttle busses to take worshippers from various locations in the Diocese of Arlington and the Archdiocese of Washington to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter parishes in Baltimore (National Shrine of St. Alphonsus Liguori)…for the traditional rites of Good Friday.
St. Alphonsus in Baltimore will offer the Mass of the Pre-Sanctified from the pre-1955 Missal.
